Administration
The department office “Stab” in the Department of Earth Sciences comprises the services of the Study Administration, Study Coordination, Controlling, PR and Marketing as well as IT Support, and Web Coordination. The department office is headed by the Department Coordinator.
Services
In addition to the research facilities, the department also operates other services such as the mechanical workshop, the facility management home service, the library with the collections or the room reservation.
Mechanical workshop
The modern equipped workshop of the Department of Earth Sciences supports the institutes and research groups with the production of mechanical parts, devices, prototypes or test facilities. The workshop also helps to implement projects from study and Master's theses.
Facility Services
Facility Services is responsible for the buildings NO and NW as well as for external premises of the department.
Earth Science Collections
The department's earth science collections are rich in fossils, rocks, minerals and geological reliefs.
focusTerra
focusTerra is the Earth & Science Discovery Center of ETH Zurich. The permanent exhibition is aimed at young and old, large and small, amateurs and experts.
Earth Sciences Library
The Earth Sciences Library is permanently closed from 1 May 2024. ETH Library services are available in the nearby Green Library and the ETH Main Library in the ETH main building.
